Lawrenceville Tree Park Whole Foods Day May 22nd!

On April 6th, over 50 residents and volunteers came out to finally transform a blighted lot into our first tree park; a design and initiative that has been underway for 5 years.  Tree Pittsburgh: Lawrenceville Tree Tenders, along with board and staff of Lawrenceville United, and Lawrenceville Corporation staff worked with the crews from Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, the City of Pittsburgh, and Tree Pittsburgh to plant over 25 trees on site at the corner of Keystone and Stanton.
If you were not able to help plant, but would like to contribute to our new tree park, then please consider shopping at Whole Foods on May 22nd.  5% of all proceeds collected by the Pittsburgh Whole Foods in East Liberty will go toward the maintenance and growth of the tree park.   If have a chance, take a drive down Stanton Avenue and check out the lights and new trees at Keystone Street.
