Recap of LU Spring Membership & Board Elections – June 2024

On Thursday, June 13, 2024, Lawrenceville United hosted the annual Spring Membership and Board Meeting at the Clemente Museum (3339 Penn Ave). There were around 20 in person attendees and 10 online participants.

The meeting was led by Executive Director, Dave Breingan, who shared an overview of Lawrenceville United and membership. LU exists because of our membership, and we are grateful for how our membership invests and supports the work we do. Dave then allowed each of the 11 candidates an opportunity to speak about their interest in joining the LU Board. Voting will remain open until Tuesday (6/18) and a ballot can be found at the link below.

Following the candidate presentations, Dave and LU’s Farmers Market Manager, Bryanna, shared more details about LU’s many programs, including: the Lawrenceville Farmers Market, the AdvantAGE program, affordale housing advocacy and repairs, the Neighbors in Need program, Duncan Park, mobility advocacy, and more.

The floor was then opened to any questions or comments. Thank you to all who attended in person and virtually! We appreciate your support as LU members and participating in our annual Board elections.
