Pittsburgh Party For A Purpose To Host Fundraiser For Lawrenceville Farmers Market
On Friday, March 22 from 9p – 2a,Pittsburgh Party for a Purpose will be hosting the event Grown in Lawrenceville to raise funds for the Lawrenceville Farmers’ Market. The party will feature entertainment from Lawrenceville DJ Fernando Marti, a live performance by the Beagle Brothers, a photo booth operated by Palermo Photos, local food tastings, artwork on display, and raffle prize giveaways. Grown in Lawrenceville will be held at Remedy Restaurant and Lounge located in Lawrenceville at 5121 Butler Street, where there will be a suggested donation of $10 for party attendees. The office of Pittsburgh City Councilman Patrick Dowd will match 0.50 to every dollar raised, up to $1,000.
All proceeds from the party will benefit the Lawrenceville Farmers Market, which, supported byLawrenceville United, seeks to provide easily accessible fresh, locally sourced food to the residents of Lawrenceville and the surrounding communities. The Lawrenceville Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 12:30pm-4pm between June and October in the Goodwill Training Center parking lot at 52nd St. and Berlin Way.
